Rose Marie Pischel

Rose Marie Pischel, school nurse in Piedmont schools for the past 28 years, will be honored by all the Mothers Clubs in the city at a tea on Wednesday in the new Piedmont Junior High School Building.

Miss Pischel, a native of Austria, came to San Francisco 38 years ago, lived with the late Dr. and Mrs. Kasper Pischel until after her graduation from the Stanford School of Nursing. She received her degree in public health nursing a year after graduation.

Aside from a year in the San Francisco Health Depart-ment, two years of service as a school nurse at Fort Bragg, Mendocino County, and two years as assistant to the medical director in the girls' physical education department at Stanford, Miss Pischel's entire career has been with the Piedmont schools.

She is a past president of mit A of the California Public Health Association, a member of the California Teachers Association and the League of Nursing as well as the Sierra Club, the Golden Gate Audubon Association, Road Side Council, Save the Redwoods League and the Oakland Museums Association.

More than 300 are expected to attend the tea at which Piedmont school principals, Dr. Alden Smith, Louis Ferry; McD Fisher, Mas. Murel A and Robert G. Brown will receive with Miss Pischel.
